Yep there’s that too, unless the parent club pays a portion of the player’s wages. There’ll always be an Ipswich or a Derby willing to pay more towards wages than us. Another reason to look at players in this league or lower.
Would have thought given the level he has played at and level Duff has managed at he would have a good idea if he was suitable.
Sure that is the case, if Duff doesn't want him then that's fine. I trust his judgement on a player more than my judgement. But just saying from the outside, it looks like the sort of player we should be at least considering etc.
I have been reading about Worcester Warriors, Premiership rugby union club. They have been given a winding up order by HMRC,over unpaid tax for 2 years and debts at the club are over £10million, wages not paid to players,etc. They have also created separate companies and buying the car parks and training pitches cheaply. They are expected to go into Administration this week, incurring a penalty of 35 points to start the new season. I say all this,as they are the owners of Morecambe Football Club, watch this space. I have never understood how a low populated area,could sustain 3 professional clubs in Blackpool, Morecambe and Fleetwood.
