Colgan - Really not to blame for what happened today

RE: A couple of points (and strong disagreement!)

Colgan on his day is an excellent keeper. However, Davey is now doing no favours to either the team or Colgan himself by playing him. His confidence is at an absolute low. I don’t know a lot about Lucas other than what I have read but on paper he seems a fairly decent keeper. Even if he didn’t prove top notch I don’t believe he could do any worse than Colgan at the moment. Be brave Davey and put Colgan on the bench for at least a couple of games before it’s too late. Colgan is very senior in the dressing room but if I was a BFC defender I would be well peed off with his form over the last few months and wouldn't lose sleep if he was replaced by Lucas. I saw the abuse Colgan BFC fans as well. I thought that was very unprofessional and it seems to me he is taking his own recent dodgy performces out on the people who pays his wages. Thanks Nick.

The confident Colgan of last year would definitely have saved the first and would possibly have reacted better to the second by coming out and palming out the cross. The 4th was a joke...............I shouted 'Come off yer line Colgan' three times as the ball was in the air and then bounced knowing full well that Reid would struggle v Adebola. Colgan glued to his line yet again. I know - easy when to call when you are on the terraces but that really was Sunday League stuff.
I am not too surprised at this result -although didn’t think we would get beat so easy. We are 2 points clear - 7 games left - 4 of these at home. A lot of the teams at the bottom have to play each other. Luton and Burnley can't buy a win. The Leeds v Southend result perfect......................I think at the start of the season I would just about have taken where we are now.

 

Why do we bother having a goalie then, if he can't be expected to make saves, when the defenders make mistakes.
Surely that is the reason for him being there. If not then we may as well just play another defender.

 

Id like to see Colgan given a rest but you seriously cant blame him for yesterday. The team as a whole was garbage.
