Just watched the highlights again. Not sure why folk were complaining about their second goal. Nobody even challenged Collins. It was poor goalkeeping.
I think people were complaining about the two handed shove Moore gave to Sibbick before he headed the ball. It was poor goalkeeping - he should have stayed on his line and got across to his back post, he was never going to get there with all those bodies in the way. If he’d done that Moore’s header just bounces up into his gloves. But it was a foul on Sibbick - a more experienced and savvy defender (perhaps Someone like Sollbauer who was brought on just after...), would have gone down and very likely won the free kick. It’s only very likely as opposed to definitely as with Andy Woolmer refereeing, you can’t guarantee anything.
The blatant push on Sibbick was a different opportunity. One that ended up straight at Collins. There was a bit of grappling for the second goal, between Moore and Sibbick, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Lest we forget Sollbauer allowed himself to get dragged away from marking the guy who scored Swansea's first goal.
A dreadful game of football, especially after our display against Norwich at the weekend. Two excellent headed goals from Andersen & Woodrow from two excellent crosses from Freiser & Mowatt. An extremely poor performance from an incompetent referee, too. There's no doubt, in my opinion, that we would've lost that game before Valerien Ismael came to the club, The brightest light on a dreary night , for me, was the messages of support on the shirts worn by our players to Sol Bamba. Classy and thoughtful. Nice one, lads.
To be fair, I thought that Moore's goal was fair enough, defender and attacker both being physical. Had it been the other way round it probably wouldn't have been a penalty. The real howler was the disallowed goal. The Cardiff defender ran in and pushed Cauley with both hands into the 'keeper. How that was judged to be a foul on the 'keeper is beyond me.
