Perfect penalty from Woody. Can't see why they're complaining, defender grabbed Helik by his wrist and pulled him back, otherwise Helik would have got the ball.
Well, we all complain about getting nothing from the referee and linesmen. We have now and it's a gift! They have got to make sure they take advantage now and turn the screw. Their heads will already be down, thinking the who league is against them(we know that feeling!), so get another early and I think they will crumble and we could end up with a cricket score(to match their cricket style appeals!)...
Never a penalty in a million years. It makes a change us getting a soft one. Ainsworth took it well as he looked nice and calm chatting to the ref. The game is far too open.
Regarding penalty we deserved it for advantage ref didn't play when Woodrow was through earlier. That said we should have scored in build up.
I thought he had his arm, whether he pulled him back is very debatable. However, some people keep saying these things even themselves out over a season, then I look forward to more ‘dodgy’ pens
Kind of appalling decision that goes against you when you're down the bottom. I'll take it, obviously, but can't begrudge Ainsworth having a pop at the referee - that was a farce.
We need to sheethouse like they did (two injured just as we started playing it about) if they get on top second half.
Never going to be an entertaining game this, need to get it over with and take the points back on home on the bus. Job done.
According to the away commentary at the end as they walked off Ainsworth was in “very angry” mode because he had his hands behind his back. Hmmm, threatening! But then he started pointing and shouting and looked close to a card. Wind him up a bit more by bringing Morris on to make it 2-0 in the 46th minute.
I agree, we've been done many times. On both sides. We've not been given penalties when we should have, penalties have been given against us that are definitely not. But let's be honest about this and keep some integrity, that wasn't a penalty in a million fk*cing years. It's a travesty.
