    Didnt they change the rule so now its where you play the ball not where you were actually offside - I think thats also now they wait for a player to run half the length of the field before putting up the flag

    So if you kick the ball from the edge of your own area and your forward is offside, the opposition get a freekick on the edge of your area? Well, no, they don't. It's from where the player is offside, and you can't be offside in your own half.
