He's here we're in the play off positions, absolutely no point getting shut of him at this stage of the season.
Who would you bring in after 41 games? Bear in mind it probably takes 2 weeks to get a manager recruited and contract drawn up, so that will give the new gaffer 2 weeks before the playoffs to get to know the players, best 11 and start changing coaching methods
Collins sets the team up badly before the kick off then when he's realised he's made mistakes makes the situation worse with his changes.
I'm hoping to play Peterborough in play offs and Lincoln in the final. I believe we have Agree. I've complained about alot today but today we was robbed.
Mate. We have a 1 in 4 chance. Thats a good chance. we have a decent record against all the play off teams. It’s anyone’s.
What were people's expectations at the beginning of the season surely no one thought we were going to run away with the league. We are virtually in the playoffs then it's a three game shoot out I'm not a massive Collins fan but the blokes got to be given a chance to finish the job. If we and him fail then that's a discussion for the summer. He's had a fair share of luck this season but it finally ran out when Pines got injured because Mccarts an average league one left sided defender but in the centre he would struggle in league two.
You say the centre halves haven’t been poor?.....obviously you have no idea what makes a good league one centre back then. For starters you need a bit pace and be able to win headers under pressure. Who have we got presently that can do that?......no one!
With the financial deficit at the club following relegation and losing Duff, Mads, Kitching and the loan lads Isted and Thomas I thought we'd be around mid table, losing Norwood and kitching so late it the window limited our options. Tbf kitching looked gash those few games and clearly didn't want to be here, Norwood for whatever the reasoning brought that experience and edge to our game and the ability to knock it long. Cosgrove, Watters, Dallas looking at it now have been horrendous bits of business that we won't recoup money on.
Before the Cambridge game he started with the strongest eleven. We lost because of individual errors and an all round performance that was well under par. None of the players played to their potential, including the subs. Nothing down to Collins, 100% down to the players.
We’ve got a game on Tuesday. Who could we possibly get in before that who could change anything up. I understand fans get frustrated but to want to sack a manager in the playoffs is daft in my opinion.
And more importantly what can he change? ‘Right, what wingers do we have?’ ‘There isn’t none gaffer’. ‘Have we got any full backs’ ‘we’ve got one. We have got 3 right wing backs & one left wing back though’ ‘What system did the last gaffer play?’ ‘3-5-2’ ‘Well what the **** are they wanting me to change?’
Pretty much but with a weaker defence. It was clearly an issue last season too. We didn’t come from behind to win all season.
