Personally I'd prefer more fans of other clubs on here. Makes for a good debate. Sadly, judging by the replies of a few in here, some don't know how to take a bit of light hearted fun.
@Pelly Is the reason you now play in red to make them feel more at home? Could never understand the colour change of your shirts. Fair play to you as fans of your club. You've been through a lot & good to see you back competing in the second flight.
Pelly has always been a sound poster on here and I hope he continues to contribute. I like it when fans from other clubs come on here and make positive contributions (Bluebird is the prime example).
Fully agree I enjoy seeing posts from the likes of Pelley or Bluebird - we have had a few other away fans come here and make interesting posts as well. Obviously Fowls Leeds and Millwall supporters by definition are more of a problem but if we could find a rational fan even they would be welcome from me
Bluebird was a top bloke - a brilliant poster. Pelly just pops on whenever Luton get a result to gloat. It's bizarre.
I hope Luton make the play-offs and get get promoted and the new Stadium is called Oakwell. It's nice to see a club that has had season's in the top flite get back where they belong. I was pleased to see the resurgence of Sheff Utd and Leeds. I can't wait for Nottingham Forest to get their act togther and get back where they belong. As long as they don't take six points off us though
I don't know about that, came on the share solidarity in our struggles and big you up to escape last season as I like clubs like ours that are fighing the big boys. I will admit I am more likely to post when we win and as otherise I am usually to miserable to make any comments anywhere. I think it is encouraging that seven free transfers who are not world beaters are holding there own with workmanlike perfirmances - Moncur and Pearson were surprisingly good last night although agaisnt poor opposiiton. Neither of us will be relegated this year unless we shoot ourselves in the foot, definitely poorer sides
Whatever floats your boat - it's your life, post where you like. Still doesn't mean I think it's normal.
Sadly the Luton forum is made up of brain dead knuckledraggers, I didn't choose to be born here. The Rotherhams commentators on youtube are fab, Yorkshire folks are so much more intelligent sadly than our lot
Think you're being a bit harsh tbh, he's always been well meaning when coming on here, no need for any issues.
Yeah apologies for my sarcasm it wasn't directed at you or Luton Town it was the Barnsley fans creaming themselves over your good fortune recently
From what I remember of them here...... Moncur: Talented going forward but lazy defensively so wasn't seen as a team player. Cranie: Well thought of by our fans. Had a decent enough career here but couldn't wait to leave when we got relegated. Pearson: I rated him he looked good just didn't get enough chances. No surprise to me that you like him. Tunnicliffe: Wasn't our player but he did alright with us and you could see he'd have a decent career. Berry: One of the better Danny Wilson signings from his second spell with us and got pushed out when we had far worse players. Bree: Talented kid who we got decent money for when you look at his injury record and the few games he played for us over a decent length of time. Lee: Never looked like a football player. Probably the only one of the seven you name that I am surprised has done well with you.
Martin Cranie couldn't wait to leave? We were relegated in 2014 and he left the following Summer of 2015, after his contract ended. He couldn't wait to leave, but did exactly that!
I heard he was willing to stay and it was purely financial from the clubs point of view the reason he left. Johnson wanted to free his wage up for his own targets.
If anything I don't think he got enough abuse. Absolutely stole a living while he was here, there can be no excuse for a professional footballer being constantly overweight and unfit to the point where he was blowing out of his arse after 30 minutes.
OK, will take your word for it. Certainly looks more red than orange. I'm a bit of a traditionalist with home shirts. Nice to have slightly different designs / trim, but playing around with colours in a home shirt is a no-no. Think when Cardiff owners wanted to change the Bluebirds kit to red! That went down well.
