I'd be a 5 then

    Entirely ambivalent.

Good start to the season but that had evaporated into listless resignation to defeat, often before a ball was kicked.

I thought after what Ritchie achieved it was a tad harsh but I couldn't honestly see him turning it around. The board had to be decisive - let him see it out for the rest of the season or wield the axe before the transfer window. They did not shirk the decision, which I at least respected them for.

Some good work was immediately done - some players who were available and who we could afford to keep for the season were brought in on loan for evaluation. Reid has done OK, Knight was disappointing and Wallwork - we all know the story.

The permanent signing of McCann without a manager, allowing Davey to appoint an assistant when supposedly a caretaker, then going public that he'd got the job after the Wednesday debacle, all very unprofessional IMO.

Now, finally, six months after everyone could see what was needed, we have a promising centre half, a promising midfielder in Jones and two strikers with international experience. We just have to hope that somehow we can settle everyone in quickly and make a go of what's left of the season. Fingers crossed...

    RE: Good vote

with you on that. Me NEVER in over 30 yrs have i critisised a manager BUT Davey does not get my support, not his fault cos if i wa offered a job bigger then the one i have, i'd snatch their hands off. Davey is not to blame, its on someone elses doorstep i'm afraid
