A small club like ours? Would that be a club of similar size to Burnley, Bolton, Blackburn, Preston and many other clubs of similar size who seem to be coping ok. I'm sick of this small club mentality, it's a very poor arguement for keeping this clown as manager any longer.

Exactly what does Davey offer Barnsley FC............THATS NOT THE POINT !!!

..............the point is this...............we dont want pressure put on Pat Cryne to sack him

Because we have faith in Pat Cryne to do this if or when the time is right

    Its as simple as that

The time is more than right now, it should have happened last season. How much longer are we going to lets this go on? We are paying customers and we have a right to have our say. I cant remember such negativity around Oakwell and i feel that we are at a tipping point now. We cant allow this to tear our club apart.

Not everyone who doesn`t like Davey thought we would get relegated Jay.

I always think we will survive even when in seasons past we haven`t.

I would like Davey gone today, however, after PC backed him in the summer and has given him funding to bring in new players he will give him till the end of November before he reviews the situation knowing that he has given him time to improve on last season, IMO.

Can I just point out there's a difference between...

    ...small town mentality and realism.

It's been said that the vocal minority make people believe the majority want shut. The majority want improvement and are still willing to give Davey another month to show that. If he doesn't then he should (and will) go.

Until then all this talk is a PR disaster and isn't going to benefit anything other than the ego's of the few who are suggesting/setting this up.

MarioKempes..............you say we can't allow him (Davey) to rip the club apart

Dont you think Pat Cryne knows this

He is a fan of Barnsley FC like the rest of us are except for one important difference

He is a fan thats also got ££££££££££££££ MILLIONS invested in the club

So if you put yourself in his position wouldn't you be more concerned about the situation than what you are at the moment

    Therefore..................back off......................let him sort it !!!

The last thing Pat Cryne needs right now is a load of fans shouting "Davey Out" in the car park

Right so until one man decides what is best for our club then we just ignore what is happening and pretend everything is ok? Sounds like a great plan to me.

At the ground.................you do NOT boooo or sing Davey out !!!............

.............that only makes the situation worse

If only negative comments come out of your mouth then its better for the club if you dont shout anything at all

They know the situation without you or others pouring negativity over them

    Therein lies the rub

if you think after all the money he has spent and the number of players he has been allowed to bring in that 21st in the Championship is good enough then he's doing a good job.

If you have a bit of ambition and demand slightly more then he's doing a crap job. I'll go with the latter.

Let's face it - there's been **** all improvement in the last three years - another month is not going to make much difference is it?

I don't think Simon Davey is going to have a eureka moment before the end of September and everything falls into place after three years of dross

    and what about support?
Try supporting the club, that's the most important thing.

I do in the main agree with what you have opened with there

But you've also struck on a major problem we have with Simon Davey - and that is that somehow some think we're doing well. We need year on year improvement - not the rubbish - we're two points better off than we were at the end of last season 'progress' - but genuine moves towards success.

Success is not the avoidance of abject failure.

Relegation is abject failure. All we've done for the last three years is avoid that (narrowly).

If we are not here to succeed then why are we here at all?

Let's get rid of this 'little club' attitude and start moving forwards. He has had enough money to spend - and actually his signings seem competent at this level - the problem isn't with our attendances, or our facilities - it's with what is happening on the pitch. Being a 'little club' never stopped us from being an established midtable second tier side before - why is it an excuse now?

I don't like the antagonism at all - but for Davey has got to go. His system of football doesn't work, it just doesn't add up consistently, and for me he will always have us down at the foot of the league gasping for air (until the inevitable relegation). It's not four games - he's into his fourth season.

He has done what he can. It's time to let him go.

    It all depends on expectations.

I remember watching the reds when we struggled to exist in the old fourth division, for long enough we were a third division side, We occasionally hit the dizzy heights of the second division....

One crazy year we actually hit the first division....un heard of, impossible we thought.. even more impressive they called it the Premier league.... wake me up i`m dreaming ....... we then settled down into what to me is still the second division...forget the fancy names... its the second division... if our expectations are , that this division is good enough and this is all we are.... leave Mr Davey alone.... if we have expectations to reach the dizzy heights as before.... then 4 years is about long enough for anyone to achieve the clubs aims...

As I said before If I didnt hit my targets in 4 years I would be out... If Mr Davys target is to keep is in this division thats what hes doing...

So the question is what are our expectations..???
