nope did have it's moments though. Especially the sketch when everyone in the office keeps wanking and the showjumpers who keep bothering the firemen.
Rossiter was brilliant. Reggie Perrin re-runs on UKGTV, beyond compare. You want timing son ? watch Leonard Rossiter.
Don't think I've ever seen Reggie Perrin. Cannot believe they still show Rising Damp in this pc age, lost count of native/hunting jokes. Also saw pilot for Miami Vice last night!! f'kin ell - kwal-li-tay
The prison cell sketch ... ... with the letter about the song his Sister used to sing with him was one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
The Wolvis Family The High Life Happy Families Filthy, Rich and Catflap Forgotten gems all. Oh, and can't believe no-ones's mentioned The Comic Strip Presents...? A bit hit and miss, but absolute genius on its day.
Genuiney in Rising Damp, Rigsby was made to look a right pillock for the stick he gave Phil. Unlike Love Thy Neighbour which was 30 minutes of name calling. Never watched Reggie Perrin before. But watched it this time cos of Leonard Rossiter. Quality.
The mad Scottich bint was the highlight But the whole thing was just brilliant. About half of what Fry and Laurie did was excellent. Same for Monty Python and Peter Cook and Dudley Moore. Some of uit was ***** like, but when they got it right it was top draw.
Can't believe no-ones mentioned Father Ted
Black Books
Knowing Me Knowing You
Rab C Nesbit
Q
