As the header says this is completely unsubstantiated so please don’t say I need proof because I have none but I was told to expect a “devastating” announcement next week from the Club.
My only 2 thoughts were either GS leaving or major financial problems ( the 2nd of those could take all sorts of guises I suppose).
I have pondered overnight whether to post this as it could be rubbish but we’ll see.

Devastating sounds like more than losing Struber but then it's a word that gets overused a lot. Something to do with the academy?

    Worried now.

All these folk banging on about how crap the board are etc..... answer this: what are the options? Do we expect a knight on horseback to come rushing to our aid with overflowing pots of cash? I'm not saying the present board have got much right (they haven't) but there have been so many other clubs in our position that have done an awful lot worse and in extreme situations (e.g. Bury) have gone to the wall.

We're down now. I think that is pretty much for certain. But I think if the present board all decide to call it a day as well (not saying that this is the premise of the OP by the way) then I really do fear for our future.

    Just my opinion.

EDIT: Just seen a similar thread by MDG on the board..... I'll shut up!

If the rumour is true my guess would be finances. Struber leaving wouldn't be considered devastating - we only give 21 word statements when a manager leaves.

Probably Struber leaving , he was the boards first choice and have been chasing him since takeover by sounds .
We not in any sense in financial trouble imho,
Hope it’s not winding down the Accademy that was one Crynes legacies .

With multi million pound owners this surely should not be happening.

    ^^^ THIS

And IMHO as long as we have them we have a certain degree of security. Not saying they're gonna pump in millions (they're not) but it is a security blanket.

This is entirety unsubstantiated too: A friend told me he'd heard the academy was closing. As we just couldn't afford it. I wouldn't be surprised if we couldn't afford it, but I argued it doesn't seem likely as the club were only saying this week that unclaimed season ticket money would go to the academy. That's ballacks too like, there's a wage bill, a leccy bill, an academy bill and they get paid, my specific 40 quid or whatever hasn't gone to the academy, it's just part of the capital, but why say it's going to the academy only to shut it?

I wasn't going to repeat it, but as it would fit in with the also unsubstantiated "devastating news" it at least gives people something to speculate on, if they like that sort of thing.

If we are then somebody seriously needs to be asking where's the money gone. Because unless the club have paid ludicrously high fees for the players signed last summer or paying stupidly high wages to the current squad someone's had their hands in the till.

They haven't so far but who knows? I don't have answers but just feel that we're better with them than without - or with some two bit sheik or tuna entrepreneur with ideas above his/her bank account. Again - just my opinion like....

Many of us are unhappy with the owners, but them as well as us could do without internet gossip about club finances and possible admin. We are due installments for a number of players, might get a promotion clause for Pinnock and have a few saleable assets and 7k season pass holders, as one of the few sides to make a profit in recent times.

I very much doubt we've financial worries.
