I agree. Obviously I've never met him personally, but he always comes across as a great guy and a real gentleman in the interviews. And what a player he is, he's still going strong even though he has been playing at the top for nearly a quarter of a century! I have a lot of respect for Teemu Selänne.

Heh, funny you should mention PK Subban - he's one of my favourite non-Finnish hockey players at the moment. :) And that photo of your lad and B.Orpik is awesome!

Wow, I had no idea that Great Britain have won a medal in the Olympic hockey, let alone gold! That's amazing.

3-0 for Canada, and that's got to be the final nail in the IKEA coffin. Congratulations for the gold CalgaryTyke and other Canucks fans :D

Fantastic performance. Total domination in the last 2 periods.

    Off back to bed now!

....and well deserved. His last one and goes out with a medal and an MVP, not a bad show, especially for a 43 year old

I've been doing a bit of local history research and believe it or not, Mexborough(where I now live)had an Ice Hockey team as far back as the 1920's..there isn't even a rink now.

Ohh, I didn't actually go all the way to Sochi to watch the game, I watched it at the comfort of my home so the "tickets" were free. :D The bronze medal game would have been great to see live though, even if the atmosphere in all of those games was apparently quite dead after we knocked the Russians out of the tournament. :p
