    The problem with a lot of these types of players (and I'm by no means trying to generalise here) is that they tend to come with a lot of baggage. Certain habits and ideas that have been ingrained and can't be removed.

    I've known lots of lads, from lots of different non-league teams who have had trials with various teams, at various levels. I knew a lad who was playing for Harrogate Town and scoring goals for fun. He had a trial with Chesterfield, and was easily good enough to play at the then League Two level. They didn't want to touch him due to his 'baggage'.
