Paraguay - the only country in the world who don't have any coins in theircurrency. All notes.
I wonder why that is.

RE: I'd like to be pleased for him... I'm a big tennis fan and it's one of the few sports where I support a player irrespective of which country they come from. As a young 'un I followed Chris Evert (not in the stalking sense!) and John McEnroe. Then I went years without having a favourite, until Murray came along. He's different, has all the shots, a winning attitude and entertaining to watch. We moan about our own weak-willed sportsmen, yet when we do get someone with fight and guts, we disassociate ourselves from them and still moan. No pleasing folk in this country - which is in fact the United Kingdom. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries
Like who? Everyone successful is ****. Micheal Parkinson, Dickie Bird and Ian McMillan are regularly slagged off on here. It's a Barnsley forum so they're the first targets. Then it's on to football so Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney get it full on. Then it's any other sport, so just find which British sports person in the headlines at the time and have a go at them, be it Lewis Hamilton, Andy Murray or whoever. Everyone's a lovely person.
I dunno either I suppose it cuts down the number of potential"coin" incidents at matches though.
Does Paraguayan football ever get....emotional or owt like?

I agree there's a bit of that goes on and I point it out regularly. Couldn't believe the attitude on here to Ellen McArthur. But we all know where the Murray vitriol sprung from and it's **** all to do with his limited success.

RE: After the Paraguay incident - Get Real.... Boo Boo Boo Booo nt From the Daily Mail "Scottish tennis star Andrew Murray says he will be wearing a Paraguay shirt and cheering on England's opponents in the World Cup. How very grown-up of him. That is his prerogative. But I do hope Murray won't be too disappointed if English tennis fans decide to support whichever foreign star he comes up against at Wimbledon."
Depends on your definition of "we."
Regardless of any subsequent wriggling in the press Andy Murray has made his position clear and has disassociated himself from England and, consequently, Britain. I'm the first to cheer all our sportsmen, I just don't see Andy Murray as "ours." I'm half Scot/Irish myself and I consider him to be an embarrassment. He doesn't want to be British so **** him.

.

RE: "British" because he's from Britain England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, Hence English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh. All seperate countries. British my @rse(england) (england) (england) (england)

isnt it strange how someone who's scottish becomes 'british' when they've achieved something (esp in the media)
