    Irrespective of his age, it's difficult to argue that Mawson isn't a "here and now" player, considering he played 50 games last season for a team which narrowly missed out on promotion, and led the league for some considerable time despite being tipped for a struggle. Add to that the fact he scored around 8 goals and was rated the 3rd best player in the division. He was certainly punching well below his weight in that league. He's the ideal player for us in my opinion.

    David Blunket can see that with players we're linked with Barnet Defenders ICT players and a load of kids is a bit of a give away

    Whilst an advantage, having a bigger budget doesn't always equal success. Look at dem blades.

    Rochdale had a tiny budget last season, they finished above us.

    It's about getting the right players together, and having a decent manager.

    The SCMP rules forces a reduction in wage budget. 75% last season as a newly relegated side, 60% of revenue this season.

    Ben Pearson wasn't anything special. We have had much better players than him. I would understand you calling someone an idiot if they said Williams or O'Sullivan were nothing special.
