    Would be absolutely astounding and I’d love to see it. Real statement of intent. I wonder how different his wages will be from James’ realistically?

    Seems there are a few possibilities for this window:

    -as we stand now - James gone. Reasonable, saves wages and gives other players a chance

    -James, mowatt leave and hourihane (or similar quality player) in - about even or slightly ahead maybe

    -James, mowatt, styles leave and hourihane (or similar) in - weakened a settled side enough to give us problems despite the quality

    -James, mowatt leave with no quality replacement (A N Other untried player that takes time to settle into the league)- serious problems the rest of the season

    -James, mowatt, Styles leave either un replaced or A N Other- I think we have a relegation battle on our hands.

    Be interesting to see how it plays out. Absolute make or break stuff. I’ll enjoy the fantasy land of just bringing Conor in and no one leaving for now.

    I’d be surprised if this is true, he’s still played a few times this season & is basically next in the pecking order if McGinn or Douglas Luiz are unavailable.
