Like I said it could've been said directly and as far as I'm aware Dawson is normally approachable and friendly off the pitch so easy to forgive a moment of madness. Shame he did more in his 15 minutes than Frimpong had the whole match.

Frustration from Dawson.....but at least it shows he has some fire in his belly.

Could you see Shea doing that?

No I did see him giving a sly middle finger in the post match fracas he argues like he plays no heart for the fight.

I think you're right TF, I wasn't there either but we all know how reactions can be bad when frustrated and angry.

Maybe so but if customers of mine were abusing me I think I would react in the same way. I know football is unique but I believe that if you give it out you have to be happy to take some back. When all said and done he is still only human.

Don't get me wrong I don't think any action should be taken for all his on field limitations he is usually engaging and approachable off the field but in most forms of employment he would be on sone sort of disciplinary. What if he'd ended up in the crowd scrapping?

In my opinion what he did today was acceptable (under the circumstances) however had he gone into the crowd throwing punches, whether they connected or not, then he would have been finished at the club. The board would have had no choice other than termination of contract.

If the abuse was personal then id say his behaviour was just about acceptable. If it was of the generic 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' stuff that I heard then I'd say it wasn't. Although he's not my favourite player I have no axe to grind and it was all heat of the moment stuff. In our current predicament and with the couldnt give a toss attitude of most of the players today it wasn't the smartest or most professional of moves.

I saw but couldn't hear what happened...Dawson came across to applaud the travelling fans, which I thought was pretty decent considering most players would have just sodded off down the tunnel after a 5-0 mauling,I saw a group of fans throwing their arms and pointing and obviously shouting abuse at him(I don't think they were saying 'not your fault mate'..which it wasn't today),Dawson didn't like it and lost his rag,had two players not grabbed his arms I think he would have ended in the crowd.Being a professional Dawson should not have lost it,however he certainly did not deserve any abuse for todays showing...pretty unsavoury all round, reminded me of Wolves at Oakwell last year.
Brek Shea however, who I admit I do not rate as a player at all threw the finger up as he walked away,if he looked as though he cared, like at least Dawson did, it might not have appeared so bad....if I were Wilson I'd send him back to Stoke first thing monday.

That's exactly what and how it happened. Only Dawson and Jack Hunt came to applaud the fans. Dawson didn't deserve what he got at all. The problem was he was the first one to come near the away end and got the full dogs abuse from three or four at the front.
