I thought overall Cosgrove was poor today. Macatee changed the game but has been poor for a while before today. Cole has also been poor for a while aswell. Watters can't get a look in and is probably taking a decent wage home for training but that's where we are at.
Again not much to argue with there. I don’t especially rate Cosgrove but he does seem to compliment McAtee in a way no other forward combination works.
He splits opinion doesn't he! As a goalscorer, he's certainly lacking but once Collins had reversed his idiotic selectection and actually put someone alongside him, I thought he played well. I quite like the fact he's up top because it's an 'out' for our dreadful pass,pass.pass.lose it style. But the quicker ball forward only works if he's got someone along side him.
Possibly I'd start them both next game. But hopefully Cosgrove cuts out the giving the ball away, commiting needless fouls, missing easy chances and clumsy touches and Burton aren't a good side.
The body shape Cosgrove had when making that assist and still being able to use that technique to get the spin on the ball was brilliant- a fantastic pass
Think we'd better get used to Cosgrove cos when Cole departs after play off's Cosgrove is the regular centre forward. I like him but he needs more starts and to partner McAtee with Cole as sub..Some saying he needed subbing but what did Cole give us when he replaced him.
I really really want him to come good as he seems a great guy but i think he's abysmal so far. Couldn't finish a hot dinner, dreadful in the air, ducks out of challenges, constantly giving away freekicks because he doesn't challenge properly, never scores. Genuinely think he's as bad as we've ever had.
Who exactly do we think Cole is going to go to? The level he is has played at since the first 10 games in is pretty much the same as the rest of his career. Kane has out scored him in that time as has McAtee. I’d be surprised if anyone above L1 offers him a deal. If we went up we would need better than him. Great pass from Cosgrove for the second just watched it again.
