Don't even have to do that. I'm not sure of the problems with part sale. But its certainly an avenue that could be explored. Lots do it. But I assume more to keep up a lifestyle than pay the Bill's. Lots downsize for practical reasons as well.

Is that all of it.? Cos many countries have shitholes. Some would label places in england a shithole. Albania apparantly has some beautiful places to visit. Not on my bucket list but neither are many places.
Copied as someone posed the question.

Yes, Albania can be a good holiday destination for many types of travelers. It's a European country with natural beauty, cultural charm, and history, and it's becoming more popular without being as crowded as other European destinations. Albania offers affordable experiences, beaches, and UNESCO World Heritage sites, and some say the people are friendly and hospitable.

Just on Albania, I know half a dozen people who've been and not one has rated it yet (though one of them didn't like Brussels, so I'd immediately discount their travel view!). The main reason being the people and a strange off hand attitude. I can relate to that in part having witnessed some pretty random work men, though they tended to argue and be bolshy with themselves rather than with me!

worlds an oyster though.. Well, until we totally destroy it.

I assumed so....that really refers to people around the Home Counties whose family homes have inflated over the years and are now worth £500k plus. It's not really a guide to wealth as in cash at the bank....and probably also applies only to a relative few in the rest of the country.

The cost of Covid crisis was always going to be bad, made worse by the shambolic Brexit and corrupt Tory Government.
    We never stood a chance.

Massive profiteering in school hols raising the price to double . I did thing the area was quietish for the time of yr. Maybe ppl are cottoning on to the pure greed the uk has been ungulfed by.

Tbh mate it has been like that since god was a lad. Supply and demand. Doubling/trebling prices is not unique. When I used to hire a static in the 90's prices during the school holidays were more than double of say June early july.
