That's exactly what I was thinking. Take nothing away from him, he was absolutely magnificent going forward. Really adds an extra dimension to the team. I just don't really understand why he can't be utlised as a purely attacking player, especially when his defending looks suspect at this level. Yesterday was needs must with O'Keefe going off so early and it's good to have the option to play Cotter at right back in an emergency. I'm just not sure it's where he should be playing against a better side than Port Vale.
