Like I said I'm just going on what I heard weeks ago who told me villa were very keen and city were also interested with loaning back to barnsley. Maybe city want him to play more competitive football I don't know just going on what I got told. Today when someone 1st posted about bree and no one knew who the clubs who were interested I said villa n city straight away hope this helps.
Fullbacks are ten a penny. 15 plus goals a season strikers aren't. Well get 4m for bree and go sign both full backs at fleetwood.
As young nudger pointed out. We should only look to sell 1. Any more than that per window is likely to knacker us up too much.
There is a very good reason why Sam and Conor won't be the subject of big money transfers this month and it's not because they aren't valuable assets because they are. If they both had a couple of years left on their contracts I'm pretty confident both would need bids bigger than Bree to get their signature. Bree is a good player with a lot of potential but he is not our most valuable asset.
Just think... Bree will be even better once we've sold him to Citeh and then loaned him back he will have instantly become a world beater over night! we have been told loads - that loans from Citeh or Chelsea are absolute world beaters and we should fill our team with them! I can't wait!!
If there's a bidding war for Bree we could get anything up to £10 million which would be crazy for someone with 6 months left on contract. He's an extremely talented player and I feel playing 15 games in a row has seen him improve massively. Afraid some on here just criticising him as a dig at HT Hourihane is no doubt our most valuable asset in terms of his value to us, but as long as we keep him until summer he can be replaced. Don't get me wrong I'll hate it when he leaves and he's a fantastic player but some seem to feel that him leaving would cause apocalyptic-style repercussions: it will be difficult but I'm sure there are many talented midfielders in League One and Two Winnall is also very important and for either to leave in January it would take a ridiculous offer I feel Same goes for Watkins, and Roberts has 18 months left on contract so again the offer would have to be sizeable
I'm amazed that you consider yourself a Barnsley fan. I've never known a fan be so snidy and dismissive of their own players, not when we're watching one of the best teams we've had in the last forty years.
He isn't a Barnsley fan. He is a premier league football fan who happens to be regularly bought tickets for Barnsley games.
City might bid for Bree because he's worth a punt in case he turns out to be great. If not they sell him to a championship club for 2m in a few years and lose very little. They can afford to do that with 19 year olds. But if they're bidding for 25 year old they want players who are the finished article and ready for the champions league. That is why Hourihane and Winnall are currently better players and a lot more vital to us than Bree, but of no interest to City.
Yes they defo don't sign 26 year olds in central midfield. Defo not Brattan and Mooy are made up players.
Erm Mooy was 23 when they signed him for their feeder club, brattan was 25. Great examples there hemsy, choose players who weren't signed at 26 to prove that they sign 26 year olds
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Mooy According to that they signed him in the summer at 25 then. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/10328923/aaron-mooy-seals-transfer-to-manchester-city http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...ansfer-news/man-city-sign-aaron-mooy-11545450
