I agree. Great signing to bring him in with an excellent pedigree and a wealth of experience. Will hopefully push on now.
Surrey have chased 500 to beat Kent today, dom Sibley dug in for 140 off 400 balls, proper knock that
Yes I know he was a teenager but already highly regarded in the game. It was just too soon for him at Yorkshire so we never saw how good he was going to be
Aye … we’ve had many overseas players who haven’t done much …one big exception of course was Lehman. Was Pujara with us ?
I only saw him play once because I was living in Gloucester at the time so had to rely on Yorkshire appearing at the Gloucester Festival each summer - it happened a few times while I was there and we always packed out the Cheltenham College ground when we played them. One glorious Sunday afternoon (in July I think it was) I saw Richardson come into bat and was really looking forward to watching this celebrated West Indian. I remember only one thing about that innings - he launched a tremendous six onto the top of the College hall roof. This was the first time it had ever happened according to the local press. It was a MONSTER of a hit . Other than that I can make no comment on how good he was for us, or how average. Overseas stars often take time to settle in to a new country, or county, and not many are successful for Yorkshire. Darren Lehmann was the obvious stand out success of course.

Great day for Yorkshire and another Finlay Bean century. The next off the conveyor belt. Enjoy him whilst we can.
