I guess it is expensive when compared, but even if i get to see 20 days from 39 cricket then its about £12 per day. And I get to spend loads of time watching cricket with my Dad For those daft enough to want to watch the 2nd XI there is a T20 game being played in Barnsley - presume at Shaw Lane on 2nd July. Weather permitting I'll wander down from work to watch that, then wobble home to Wombwell.
Can’t believe that the CC season is starting this Friday. Far too early. It’s now just an afterthought, shoved into whatever corner it can be fitted in favour of all this franchise b0110cks. A crying shame, and no doubt contributing to the slow demise of test match cricket.
Oh don't get me wrong, county cricket's good value. But a membership at Notts is around £50 cheaper and Lancs £35ish then look at Friday's fixtures... Lancs v Surrey Notts v Essex Yorks v Leicestershire!!!!
Yeah not the same 'quality' but then I can't support anyone else so it's Yorks or nowt Can't get any worse than last year!
Didn't get bought this year. Shame he's sat doing nothing and not decided he would like to play some county games. In other news Josh Hoyle has signed for Almondbury Wesleyans. It will be paid for by the profit from the Michael Ball concert that's happening there on Father's Day
Yeah. Could be wrong but I would presume that as he's been promoted to the academy squad for 2024, Yorkshire probably wanted him away from home comforts of his local side..... https://yorkshireccc.com/news/yccc-announce-2024-academy-and-epp-squads/
North West Cricket leagues have delayed the start of the season. Looking at the pitch here at Shaw Lane, any game is going to be a soggy affair at best. Will it ever stop raining?
Yep. And in their infinite wisdom, the ECB have all the northern counties playing at home in the first round of fixtures....
Went to first match of the season a few years ago v Sussex. It was freezing and they were selling bovril
