    Way results are going we could get dragged into a relegation scrap. Might need to win one of last two matches and considering we’ve only won one all season that won’t be easy….

    wonder how many teams been bowled out for 131 then were 7/6 in 2nd and still coasted to victory! expecting essex to get a few pts deducted, hampshire 57 and looking like gifting surrey the title

    And Surrey (aka International All stars) romp home by ten wickets and win the Championship. It absolutely stinks like the biggest pile of manure you can imagine that they could play Pope, Foakes, Overton et al while ours were “otherwise engaged/resting”. Yorkshire have not been good enough all season of course but the playing field needs levelling out. Poor all round basically.

    Equally bad is the total zero communication from Yorkshire on why he's not playing - other counties where England players are missing have all clarified whether it's down to being in Pakistan, injury or ECB denial. I suspect in Root's case it's down to the latter and Yorkshire's disappointing and supine leadership won't want to upset the ECB.

    ECB - latest accounts show that they have 450 employees each with an AVERAGE salary of over £100,000.

    There are around 400 county professionals on average salary of around £30k or less.

    Another game a totally incompetent governing body have totally ******.
