    Wouldn't be surprised if it was Conway
    No doubt they'll be out of embargo by the time the transfer window opens. Rendering the whole thing pointless.

    Must be honest, that was my first thought. He hasn't been shy to call out the financial mismanagement and obvious doping in the past...

    Wouldn't any embargo not start until the start of the transfer window? Seems a bit pointless to ban clubs from signing players when they can't actually sign players anyway...

    The "anonymous club official" claims that he/she thinks clubs are somehow engineering it so they get hit with an embargo now rather than taking one at the end of the season when it would actually make a difference.

    No idea how they would do that though...
