Shocking first touch. No composure, 2 attributes a good striker needs. Get rid. 300k and I would be happy.

 

Scored 1 in 3 for us. The team that's won the least games in all of 2012 and scored the third least goals.

Not bad if you ask me.

 

How many more could/should he have had? How many could he have created? You keep saying that goal scoring/missing chances is our main problem. Well, Davies is part of that problem. He has a good shot 50% of the time, can't think of owt else he gives tbh. Tudgay is twice the player.

 

He's on twice the wages too.

He's a player we picked from L2, free transfer and he's scored 20 goals in 60 games for us. A team that has been widely touted as the worst in our history at this level. He's part of that team but he's come out of the past 12 months with plenty of credit. 6 weeks ago we were saying how much we missed him.

He's got things he can be better at but if he didn't he wouldn't be here. And he won't be for much longer. Always makes me laugh that players that are wanted by other clubs are obviously ****.

 

As Merlin said above, his goals have dried up when Butterfield or Mellis haven't been playing, simply because his service has stopped.

Davies is in no way the compelte player but as, you say, that's why he's playing for us.

I don't get this "he's lazy" stuff either, always worked hard for me

 

The only thing Craig Davies is missing is the NET. Blew us out of Birmingham game with penalty miss, cost us game. Missed sitter at Posh cost us game. He never passes to lads in better position but will shoot from way out. Poor first touch. Only asset is he is a strong lad.
