Look if we had won 8 -0 you and the fans that arent happy with Collins would be saying its a 7th Tier side it means nothing, We had won the game after 30 mins and then just did enough for the rest of the game - Just a good professional victory
It only applies if you make a misjudged or mistimed attempt to tackle. If you push someone over it doesn't apply
Not really sure where you've got your opinion from about me not being happy with Collins - I've done nothing but defend him on here, and been called many a name for it. I have faith in him, I hope he'll turn it around. Hence why I literally said I wanted us to smash them to silence our own fans. Last week I was a delusional knobhead for standing by him and now apparently I'm wanting him gone - crazy times
Sorry if I got that wrong I thought you were one of the Collins out group - seems I confused you with someone else apologies
No problem mate. I'm Collins in. Frustrated as I may be at times, I think he deserves a proper chance, I won't regurgitate all the stats that back Collins up i.e being joint top scorers etc, but I will say I think people quickly forget. I think things could have been a little less pressured had we managed to keep Kitching at the back, but we didn't, and with plenty of other obstacles I think he's done a decent job up to press.
Think of how nervous some of us were at the chance of an embarrassing upset, and we'd have been delighted with the offer of a 0-3 win before kick off. So it certainly was/is a case of job done, and we move onto the next round. Maybe it will quieten the Collins 'out' fans down a bit, maybe!.
Seems a bit of a daft rule that it's a sending off offence to kick someone up in the air outside the box, but inside the box it isn't. He could have broken that striker's leg with that challenge but because he's awarded a penalty, the goalie only gets a yellow with a chance of saving the penalty.
Reckless and dangerous is still reckless and dangerous and red card. This sending off or yellow card/penalty applies to the term as we fans know it "professional foul"
I get the gist of it but I would say that the goalies challenge was reckless and dangerous and worthy of a red card. The argument was that because the striker was theoretically inside the.box (he actually was outside) and hence was awarded a penalty, it only warranted a yellow. Maybe the ref didn't consider it to be reckless but if an outfield player booted someone like that I'm sure they would have got a red card.
