Do they charge you when you are buying things in the shop? I honestly can't remember, but I don't remember getting charged...
RE: BFC aren't charging you Because those companies bring in billions of pounds every year and so can absorb the cost without blinking. £10,000 to BFC is a lot more money than to Esso or Tesco.
RE: Do they charge you when you are buying things in the shop? I've never been charged in the shop. Not that I remember anyway...
Well it is for us That's what my business gets charged by our bank (Barclays). But I suppose other businesses could negotiate different rates. In the unlikely event that a £1million bill was paid in cash I reckon the bank would be flexible on charges.
RE: BFC aren't charging you The same applies to all the smaller retailers I shop with (with the exception of the odd corner shop) and they aren't bringing in billions of pounds a year.
RE: BFC aren't charging you Have you raised the issue with BFC? Maybe they should put the season tickets up by £2 and scrap the charge? Would you be happy then?
RE: Well it is for us Would Barnsley's account maybe be with Barnsley Building Society? If so, I reckon they probably wouldn't be charged, seeing as their sponsors and do promotions like Reds Savers and that.
RE: BFC aren't charging you I haven't. What i intend to do instead is put all my loose change in a jar and then empty it onto the counter next year.
Maybe, but unlikely One thing I do know is that banks are tightening up on charges, because their income from interest payments has gone down with the fall in base rate. I can't see banks being lenient with charges. I don't know who the club bank with, but I doubt if it is Barnsley Building Society.
RE: Just asked my mate who owns a business What type of business, and which bank? I'm not trying to argue about this, just saying what the charges are as they apply to us. I have a mate who has a market stall which obviously deals almost exclusively in cash, and he goes ballistic about bank charges for paying in cash. Costs him a fortune. Found this from Barclays for businesses up to £1million turnover. Seems my guess wasn't far off - it's 55p per £100 for cash paid in over the counter. It's on page 2. http://www.business.barclays.co.uk/BBB/A/Content/Files/9904706_Barclays_tariffs.pdf
RE: Just asked my mate who owns a business As a former employee of Barclays i can confirm that business accounts get charged for paying in cash
Thanks I paid by cheque for my season ticket renewal and wasn't charged any fee at all. As others have said, it would seem to make sense to add £2 to the price and not charge for payment by card - even though the amount paid was the same it would "feel" better for customers.
It's certainly naughty of the club to charge, init guys and gals. The cheek of it, to charge the price of 3/4 of a pint of beer once every 52 weeks. The cheeky gets. Time for a massive inquirey here, sack Davey, get rid of Cryne. God( if there is one) forbid that they lower the price of S.T. Then we moan about £2 fecking pound. By the way, I also paid a £2 charge. Will try and alter my life style so that I will not miss the cost of the 3/4 of the pint between now and next June.
If you pay more than you have to every time you buy something then more fool you. Obviously more money than sense. I have to run my ship a bit tighter than that.
that can't be the case in this instance. Are you not also charged for debit card payments, I'm sure the bloke I went with paid by debit and was charged £2.
