I’d have loved to see Afghanistan win that but you have to say that was absolutely mind-blowingly brilliant. Double century, batting at six, in a one dayer. On one leg for a decent proportion of it. It really is remarkable. Well played Glenn Maxwell.
his fastest ever 100 the other week was brutal, but this was simply outstanding, courageous and miraculous in the circumstances in what was the game of the tournament by a long way so far
Aussies always seem to find a way. Gutting for Afghanistan , they've acquitted themselves so well this tournament!
Skybet 2/1 special even came in despite asking for 5 things. England win, England most 4, England most 6s, England highest opening partnership and England highest total atter 15 overs.
We have about 3 weeks before the start of 3 ODI’s and 5 T20’s in the Windies. It’s going to be interesting to see the squad selection. I suppose it wasn’t contemplated that we weren’t to qualify and therefore have 2 or 3 weeks before travelling ! How many of current squad will go ?
Well for the ODI's I'd say only Malan and Rashid deserve a place, maybe Woakes. Willey did little wrong but I doubt he'll get a spot as he hasn't been given a central contract. Woods will be far more effective in the Windies than in India.
Buttler will be there as he’s captain but he certainly doesn’t deserve to be on current form. Neither do Bairstow, Livingstone or Moeen Ali.
At least the West Indies may be more our level. I see we’ve a test series against India in January which will be interesting to say the least
