One often brings two, Root didn’t pick the knuckle ball and that first ball to Livingstone was a great nut to get first up. Much better performance today so far. Hard to say what is competitive though as we don’t know if the England boys will be diving round on the boundary or not, though it looks a pretty flat pitch and it hasn’t really turned. Can’t see us getting to 400 now but I’m not certain 350 would be enough. I’d say 350 might be about par and 375 should be defendable. Hard to say though.
Really hard to know what is a par score in ODIs these days isn’t it. 350+ should be a mega score but you just never feel comfortable any more.
Doesn’t look likely we’ll get to 350 even now. Hopefully it will be enough but we looked set for much better after 40 overs. I’m not too critical though as Bangladesh have bowled well and bravely at times in the last 12-15 overs.
What a player Malan continues to show he is. It's hard to believe people still question why he gets picked.
364-9 which is a great score but probably 20 short of what we ought to have got. Agree that Bangladesh have bowled well at the end there and hopefully it shows there’s something in the pitch for us to work with.
Don't know how many of you are aware or even interested. The European championship T10 is taking place. England X1 are the favourites and play their final group game against Cyprus at 1pm today on Viaplay extra. Squad is a mixture of young county players with one or two experienced ex county players.
Maybe cos they opted for another slow bowler. This ground is the highest international ground in the world so could it be owt to do with ball movement and altitude etc
