That was my point exactly
Barnsley fans don't like having "nothing to play for". There's a perception that we're safe already, but won't get promoted, so they demand to be entertained. Won't happen all the time, but booing or showing dissatisfaction in some other way (like SILENCE for eg) will only hold us back.
This for me is why we don't get many new fans thru the doors- if they did come to theBlackpool or Preston games chances are they wouldn't come back. Preston was my birthday weekend and so my Bro came for the first time, and I can genuinely say he won't be back in a hurry, and its not cos he doesn't like football. None of this is the players or managers fault of course, because for me they are doing their jobs (in the main)

nothing to play for? I know you are using a generalistic comment that possibly quite widely held, but we all realise (I hope) that the next 23 points are going to be harder to come by than the first 23 almost exactly the same example, my brother (former ST holder) went to the Preston match and was satisfied with the result and (largely) the performance against a reasonable championship outfit, he then also went to the Blackpool match - so I doubt I'll be seeing him there again for a while. No commitment some people, who said it has to be enjoyable
