Have people missed the boat if they’re not invested now or is still worthwhile considering it?

I'm lost with this stuff TBH. Is it really a ponzi scheme under another name or just unlicensed betting? I'm sure in both cases there is money to be made, but there is zero to back it up. Call me old fashioned, but having nowt to do with it. Good luck to anyone that does on the BBS.

My understanding of the cycle is the money flows into bitcoin then when it hits its peak the big players take their money out of it. To do so they put their money into the altcoins (effectively pumping the alts price) and the bitcoin price dumps. Once the bitcoin price has dumped enough then their money goes out of the alts and back into bitcoin. So based on that we're not too late to the alt party this cycle.

As for QNT, well the circulating supply is only ever going to be 14 million - which is better tokenomics that bitcoin.

If you look at the CV of the CEO he's a beast - Mastercard, the EU, The Federal reserve, a wealth of UK Government departments. (https://www.gilbertverdian.com/cv/). He's arguably the most impressive guy in crypto. He's got his fingers in all the right pies for what the token aims to do (in short seamlessly enable transactions between blockchains) My understanding is that they've got patented technology also. Obviously do your own research - but to me this coin has the potential to be 4 figures.

Redvesp. Made enough yet to buy out the 80%?

I've looked at crypto b4 and never taken the plunge, think Loko prob doing a decent tactic buying into these small ones just in case. It seems to be that unpredictable to the general public IMO.

Not enough to do that, unfortunately! I'm up though, especially after today, it does seem to be dipping now but I'm not fussed either way, I'm leaving it in long-term, see where it goes! It's not massive amounts in the grand scheme of things.

So did I when I saw it had crashed 99%. Etoro let me buy 587 of them but I want to buy more because even if it doesn't reach what it was, it's going to go back up at least a little bit. They are trying to do something about it......

I was reading their Reddit forum wow you can't help but feel for people. Yes crypto is a risk but people think they will become homeless.....

If you're in it for a couple of years and don't care if u lose it all (as is the crypto rule) it may be worthwhile....u know, in the same way as Barnsley may walk the league next season.

You only lose money when you sell. The world is in such a mess these days you've just got to sit on your investments and hope for some form of normalisation to return. The US printing money doesn't help, nor did the reluctance to get back to a normal way of life post Covid, or the war in Ukraine. Just a shocking time all round.

Bitcoin has crashed far harder than it is crashing now, and bounced back much stronger. If you check the 2016, 2018 and 2020 charts. Play the long game or get out the next time you're at flat.

Anyone buying Luna early this morning could have bought 1,500 coins for about £35. Worth £60 a couple of hours later. Imagine when you're throwing £10k at it and doubling your money.

Imagine you threw £10k at it when it was 20/30/40/50% down yesterday.

You're talking as if it can only go up. If you buy it now it's gambling, pure and simple and speaking about it on the basis of "imagine what had happened if you had bought it at this specific time" is an irresponsible way to look at it.

Of course. But I was meaning more the type of people who take advantage of this and trade full time. I chucked £40 in this morning but other vultures will have made tens of thousands of pounds today watching and buying the dips and selling quickly.

In your context an irresponsible way to look at it (maybe). But not in the context it was intended.

And others will have lost silly amounts catching a falling knife on its way down.

    Every gambler knows
    That the secret to survivin'
Is knowin' what to throw away
    And knowin' what to keep
    'Cause every hand's a winner
    And every hand's a loser
And the best that you can hope for
Is to die in your sleep

Wise words from Mr Kenny Rogers there.

If that turns in to £150 over the next month just take it out and treat you and the wife to a meal out somewhere (once you've got a babysitter!). Free hit with low risk.

We can start a BFC consortium if it goes back up to 100 dollars :D It's all a bit of low risk fun with the price bombing so much. I feel for those who have lost their life savings and say they are going to be homeless because of the crash. There is a thread on the Reddit link I posted earlier about someone wanting to commit suicide over it.
