Ethereum - has done 5x this year. Where is the BBC story on that? Another thing you get used to is the mainstream news bias against it.

A 1200% rise in a year is just a massive collapse waiting to happen.

    Dot com crash 2.0?

If you don't understand what you are discussing, it's probably best to stop digging.

We're going to see State banks releasing digital currency like edollar and epounds, bank business model hasn't changed in 200 years, but its about to. I don't know where that leaves crypto currency though once the US treasury and BOE get in the game.

Isn't this a discussion board? If you think I don't understand then why not try to explain what I'm not getting?

The majority of people see digital currency as a very alien way of investing, it seems overly complicated and inaccessible to most. Maybe if people such as yourself, who obviously understand the intricacies of it, took some time to lay it out in plain English we'd all be able to make vast sums?

I'd love it if you did...

Musk is a cnt. The absolute epitome of wealth and ego. He does this all the time. Forcing the market for personal gain. He will now invest heavily in some alternative currency, put a few tweets out and value will skyrocket. At the same time, expect him to buy more Bitcoin as the price plummets. Then Bitcoin will be brill again. Modern day Rockefeller. Absolute pri.ck. Wonder how long it will take Grimes to realise what a fk up she's made?

I think if you look through this thread there's numerous examples of people trying to lay a case for cryptocurrency in plain terms. People believe in it and feel strongly about it.

The gains will not always be so big in Bitcoin as it's an emerging asset class and still very young as a technology. But if you're interested, do the research. I gave suggestions earlier in the thread of YouTube channels you can watch for instance. Check out coindesk, other crypto news outlets. it's not a cult space any more but part of major hedge funds and financial institutions' portfolios.

It's just easy money isn't it. He knows that with a single tweet he can wipe percentages of its value. I would t be surprised at all if he's bought more afterwards. Were you about in 2017 when McAfee used to tweet a sh*tcoin and it would 10x on the strength of that?

This is an 8 page thread full of helpful information and links.

You clearly haven't taken the time to read or understand any of these. So I'm not going to explain it all again. Crypto is not 'inaccessible' at all, the only barrier is putting the time in to understand it, same as if you were trading oil, pharma etc.

But his SNL appearance hasn't caused a #ToTheMoon boost for Doge. You could argue he deliberately called it a 'hustle' live to 10 million people, only to then spend the next two days building it up again. But it hasn't really budged from where it was post SNL skit.

I think too much is being made of the 10% 'crash' on Bitcoin. A lot of the coins have suffered a dip in the last couple of days. They grew far bigger than the dip in the days before that though which doesn't get mentioned.

Did you sell your Doge yet mate? You must have made a killing? I set red lines for myself and that kind of hype is one I don't invest in but I imagine you've done well on that call!

Right now Energy Web Token is my biggest holding and that pumped after Elon's tweet as it's about tokenising the infrastructure for green energy so I guess I owe the prat one

I made bigger investments in BTC and ETH but at the same time just threw £100 at Doge. I notice ETH has just dropped 16% (won't be in the news though - or when it bounces back later).

I sold at the peak for a £500 return which left me c. £300 in there. Went up to £490 pre SNL and now down to £300. But I'll just leave that one and see what happens. I still think it will rise to $1 at some point in the next 12 months.

DEFI coins is where I'm at. Seems a lot of talk and positivity surrounding privacy and decentralized finances.

Invested just over a grand in Haven Protocol ($XHV) in January at around $3.50 and is current priced at $22. Also got some $RUNE which they are currently working with to integrate their system into.

Another project that's in it's early stages and is similar to Haven but is using Oracle Network is Equilibria ($XEQ).

It really has. I’m really excited about what will happen once the haven integration is complete. They seem pretty close too.

I really do love the communities in defi. The haven discord is ace. Love being able to follow the project and the dev team being so open about what’s happening / in the pipeline.

I wouldn't log in to your crypto wallets today. Just forget it exists for a week or two.
