    if mccarthy had been unemployed i think it may have been a very similar scenerio

    AR was given 11 games to prove himself in a caretaker role. He did that and he was given the job.</p>

    Then he got us to promotion.</p>

    I'm not saying that everything that has happened so far this year is fine but you can't knock the board or anyone else for appointing Andy at that time. He did what he did and we are now in a higher league. I thank him very much for that!</p>

    no, thought not.

    My point being, if they just appointed someone for the sake of it, we could go down and take years to get back.

    Appointing "the right one" as you somehow read differently, is making sure they do appoint the person who's influence and tactical xxxxx who will keep us in this league.

    That a better worded explanation?

    oh, and for the record, I beleive the board made the right decision in sacking AR, cos I am sure we wouldn't have won 2 and drawn 2 with him in charge in the last 4 games.
