I know for a FACT that they are paying one particular player silly money that both us and Wendies were interested in, if thats owt to go by.

Martin Woods. I believe Ryan agreed to pay him almost double what we and Wendies offered.

"Estimated" Wage Bill taken from the Pigs site.

"estimated" being the big word and no way the Pikeys have a bigger wage bill than us, smaller squad and they couldn't afford to pay Greeny the 5/6k a week he wanted.

I'd be interested to know what kind of money players like Moore, Kozluk, Macken and Anderson are on - bet it's decent

I would have thought any player who has signed a new contract in the last year would have had a substantial pay rise - surely all the Donnie and Forest players can't have negotiated new contracts over the summer??

Forest had Andy Cole, Carl Fletcher and Lee camp ont he books at some point over the last season. Plus Ernshaw. Also does it take into consideration non playing staff such as manager,s coaches etc and admin staff?

Looks like a convoluted way to make Wednesday look good to me

How do Sheffield Wednesday know the wage bills of other clubs? Try ringing our club and asking for the wage bill. My guess is they wouldn't tell you. If they're not going to tell you, a Barnsley fan, why would they tell one of our rivals? I reckon the same could be said for every other club in the league. It's a load of pish.

cant comment about the current decision making process, but it 'used' to be the policy to include appearance, goal and win payments as part of package for all playing staff ie performance related, and I think all basic wage packages were within 2k of each other ie no massive gap to top earner. ie prudent.
