Appreciate that. Just think we should look at the cheapish tickets against the backdrop of that being a repayment of the loyalty already shown.
I wonder if that's the reason they keep the previous owner on board with 20%, knowing they will grow disillusioned with the direction the club is going and try to get it back at a profit to them. It's almost like holding the club to ransom. Their involvement differs from club to club though. They only have a 25% stake in FC Thun for example. I was reading the AS Nancy forum last night and they are now realising this lot aren't going to put any money in. They were almost acquired by CFG (Man City's owners) in 2020 before PMG came along, which adds to their frustration. They are rock bottom of Tier 2 like we are.
I've put forward this suggestion numerous times over the last few years. The only example we have of their final end game was Nice. We were their second acquisition, so we could be likely to be next in line to be disposed of. At Nice they claimed their purchase price back and sold for a song after creating massive unrest and then digging in. We've obviously seen them take a first instalment here and they've certainly caused significant unrest with their actions, agitating both fans and minority owners.
To be honest I actually think that happened last year, I like many others bought my season ticket without being able to attend but when the early bird offer came around it came at a price that would have stayed the same if we had got promoted & I thought at the time that it was both a reward & excellent value & judging by the amount we sold a lot more must have thought the same.
It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who they'd like to pay for their purchase. I wonder if they are surprised that they faced more hostility in France than they have here so far?
I think its only going to get worse quite a few still sat on the fence or dont want to really rock the boat but between now and next season unless the mystery man takes over it looks bleak.
But dont forget the message keep supporting, dont protest as it could hurt the club, to get him out buy him out.
It depends what the action is and what the objective is. I agree with Loko that the first point has to be to try and call Conway to account. I don't think that would work, I can't even see him turning up based on his past patterns of behaviour, but I think you've got to at least give him the opportunity to do so. When that fails, personally, I'd want to see what next steps were, or at least to debate to orchestrate something. But of course, the militancy to do something has to be there and it has to be across numerous platforms and with an official feeling to it too. I think hanging on to a hope of a buyer needs to be put to one side. The first phase has to be about showing dissatisfaction and what that dissatisfaction is based on.
Do you really find it baffling though? You aren't an idiot. You're an intelligent man. Are you really baffled why people would object to paying Paul and chiens debt and why they'd refuse to do so in the future? I don't believe for one second that you are baffled by that
On a Saturday I support them XI lads out on the field, what I can’t control doesn’t get to me, I 100% know there’s been some serious issues off the field this season and I also see that to some it pisses them off but situations out of my control doesn’t bother me at all...........
I understand that completely. Everyone is different and have different feelings and thinking to come to the decisions they do. To be honest if I was enjoying the matchday experience a little more (and I don't mean the performance) I may think differently myself too. All I was trying to get at is that I don't believe it really does baffle you why people aren't attending. I think you understand it completely but disagree with it personally.
