55 games and 11 goals for Barnsley. Spent the vast majority of his career in the top leagues

Dagnall has got 2 goals against League 2 opponents in his 23 games here, Barnsley are the biggest club he has played for and there is a reason for that, these 2 players should never be mentioned in the same breath!!

Another thing about Wilko that the stats will never show is the number of clearances he made for us in defence. He probably saved as many goals for us on top of the one's he scored.

This is not meant to be a knock on Dagnall, who always puts in a shift and suffered from a loss of confidence in front of goal. He sums up everthing the club stands for, in many ways, in that we'll never be the most skillful/talented bunch in the league, but all I ask is that they give 100% for 90 minutes when they pull on the shirt. Attitude wise, we could do with a team full of Dagnalls.

If he does go out on loan, good luck to him.

Was definitively wanted by Vale but fell through. Like their deal for Lee Hughes

I hadn't realised he'd scored 9 league goals in 46 games the season we went up so I hold my hands up. But I would add it was in a promotion winning team and my main point is that his real value was in being the perfect foil for Hendrie. Top player who has gone up in my estimation now I know that stat.

Still think Dagnell has been an asset this season though

Aye......in relation to your Wilkinson / Hendrie pairing then I suppose Dagnall has "assisted" the REDS this season.

Maybe if we had scored more goals as a team, then he would have been given a bit more time?

As it stands with new signings, he won't get a look-in now.
