    You'd think so, yes, but the brain donors will think otherwise. She lived for 103 years so there is bound to be something that touched her to offend them.

    RIP Dame Vera Lynn.
    I’m not one for the honours list. But She is one of the exceptions. If anyone ever deserved a minutes silence/clap of respect. She’s certainly up there with the best on em. Lots of second world war veterans have lost their Sweetheart. Who kept up their spirits, sad day, but also a good innings.

    And she deserves a great deal of credit for doing the long haul out to the forgotten army in Burma. Nobody was bothered about those guys dying in the jungles and monsoons fighting the Japanese. Vera made it a point to go out and cheer them all up. My dad was one of em. RIP.
