If you look back at Murrays time he was improving us and making us harder to beat, i think that is right and Struber hasnt made much difference and his tactics like stendels struggled in this division.

    Murray?
Cavare's performances show that anyone would have performed better defesively. So Williams gets a pass.
Lundwig is a superb footballer. We're lucky to have him in my opinion.
Struber has done much better. Solely based on the points gained and the wins we've had. You can argue we should have done more, but you can't argue he hasn't done better.

Foreigners.... Pointless.... Unless it's proven players they're more likely to fail then succeed.
Language barriers don't help and they don't appreciate the passion of the fans in the same way as an English man playing our game.

But the English of our foreigners is very good and I'm not convinced that understanding the passion of the fans as a player is that crucial, particularly as these last crucial games are without fans.

As I recall Conway(?) or was it Murphy(?) said that they couldn't say more than the 14 word statement for legal reasons - insinuating that the club would be taking action against him for what was suggested as breach of contract? A statement sometime later said: "Early in the season Daniel Stendel entered into negotiations with a rival Sky Bet Championship club, to take over their managerial post and recruited other members of contracted Barnsley Football Club staff to follow him. Never once did Mr Stendel seek approval or alert members of the club’s board to these discussions.

“Only when approached by the board was there any sign of acknowledgement. This was a clear violation of Mr Stendel’s contract and created additional unnecessary distractions for our club, which was recently promoted to the Sky Bet Championship. This event, coupled with numerous other issues, led to the removal of Mr Stendel as head coach.” That's the last we've heard of it and I think it's interesting that the suggested legal action hasn't progressed any further as yet. If evidence existed I suspect it perhaps would have.

Interesting also that when Stendel joined Hearts Conway claimed compensation, a claim that Hearts said was "entirely without merit" - and that also didn't proceed any further. There's been no evidence produced for either claim and if it existed we'd surely have used it by now. But I do think there was an orchestrated campaign to tarnish DS' reputation.
