I like what you've done there Mr C, over play his performance in a friendly, just as some have over played his lesser performance in a previous friendly.

The obvious conclusion, which always seems to need to be spelled out, is that people shouldn't read anything into friendlies either way - no one is trying like they will come next Saturday, period.

Hes the badger in the box

    Slight, blind and allus badly.

Seriously, if we start our League 1 campaign with Rose up front, we're f.C.k.ed, mid table is the target.

People said that about Andy Liddell, and he turned out OK.

I posted that at half-time. He did have a very good first half and took his goal very well. But more he's finally mixing it with the mesters, definite progress from the impertinent squirt under Hillcroft. I speak as I see, no agendas here. :)

All I get from that is that you know as much about badgers, as you do about football. :D

    I thought so too.

I have absolutely no idea if Danny Rose will make it as professional footballer. He's got something and he's definitely got the right attitude, but it's such a difficult profession to break in to that having something and trying isn't always enough. I hope he makes it. I'm still with Patrick Cryne in hoping that we could one day see a Barnsley team made up of 11 academy graduates, even though I realise that is almost impossible. In the meantime, it's good to see a Barnsley lad giving everything he's got, which is what we got today and what we've always see from Danny Rose. Best of luck lad.
