"Johnson isn't responsible for the recruitment policy" - but the 'spin twins' constantly tell their chosen cliques that he has the absolute final say on all transfers, so that nails the thin argument that its not his fault that the players are not his.

Johnson was asked before Accrington what he needed and the product of that is White, Toney, Long and more Isgrove, at least three-quarters of whom are either wnak or physically not up to this league.

Johnson was wnak with the more experienced players available at the end of last season anyway. After the initial period where the Burton momentum carried into wins that luckily accrued to him and once he got his own mystifying ideas into the team, they were poor and I recall only won one more game - against Rochdale when Keefy was already sat on a beach downing San Miguels.

We maybe sh!te without Johnson but we're a whole lot sh!tter with him (and the price of not paying his notice will be dwarfed by the loss of revenues next year).

I'm not suggesting that we sack Johnson. I think we've made it pretty ******* clear we're sticking with Johnson, and I'm happy with that. He's a young, hungry manager albeit with a touch of the David Brent ******** about him but I don't believe we'll go down this season. But our position this season highlights what a ******* joke it was to sack Wilson.

Also I've just realised after typing this out that it isn't really a direct response to your comment but I'm in France, I've been drinking desperados by the pint for several houra and I'm ****** if I'm going to try and retype this so it's staying here. You bstard.

To be fair a combination of my 3 year old and our goat picking the team couldn't get much worse results than LJ ...

Early on in the season when we were doing ok, LJ was blaming playing twice a week saying that things would get better when he could have full weeks to coach the team.

I think it would be harder to choose someone to do a worse job to be honest.

I'm quickly coming to the opinion that the Academy is a financial millstone which we can ill afford and that the finds would be far better invested elsewhere in the club.

Stones is a freak. A once in a generation player - who according to the club - they didn't realise how good he was, seriously calling in to question the credibility of the academy system.

Holgate and possibly Smith are not enough to justify the capex associated with the running of academy.

Furthermore, the whole BFC academy system is mocked when we are sourcing and playing the likes of Toney, White, Isgrove at al from other clubs rather than trust our own youth team products.

The club need to seriously reconsider the value vs cost of the academy so that funds can be used for the genuine betterment of the club.

Johnson is a really likable bloke but I just can't see him turning this around, might cost a fair few bob to get rid of him but, as others have eluded to, we'll lose a lot more money WHEN he takes us into League 2. We'll end up with 4000 season ticket holders and it will take years to get back to the numbers we have now which aren't particularly great anyway.

The academy was ****ed soon as EEP was introduced.

But thats a side show aspect at the moment.

Consitently since inception we've produced players whove made a career professionally. Some even played in a world cup.

Some are earmarked as a future england captain.

The problem with the academy at this moment in time is that the manager doesnt trust any of its players to step up and perform at this level on a regular basis. Bree and digby are two examples of this.

Secondly stockpiling 19/20 year olds whove been released from Cat 1 academies who are still no where near the first team.

The players at the world cup. Stones. Holgate. Should all be focal points to how the academy sources its young players and develops them.

Fromnkids through to men and ensure that those who do not have the ability dont fall by the wayside but have the chance to retrain within the club. Marketing tosspots keep using the phrase 'footballing family'

Barnsley fc shpuld start acting like one.
