RE: Wrong Judging by the histrionic, dander up, foot stamping tone of your message I'll take a guess that you're female. !!!you're not Tina Tyke are you ? Tina long time no see. I see the paranoias's no better.
Darren Gough supports Burnley and Tottenham... He openly admitted this on Soccer AM. He only 'supports' Barnsley when they are doing well.
RE: Just out of interest You tell me mate. I don't get it. Appreciate rivalry, but that should be about a good bit of banter, not hate and wanting to punch each others' lights out.
Does James G know anything about Barnsley Football Club? They were when I was a kid, too used to really look forward to them, went to tech with 2 Rotherham fans and they tought so too
RE: Darren Gough supports Burnley and Tottenham... no he doesnt he supports Barnsley hes said it many times and also explained the Tottenham thing too.
Not true I've spoken to him before and he does know a bit of stuff. Remember once a key relegation battle with Mansfield, I was at Headingley watching Yorkshire. Shouted him the BFC score as he came off at the end of the day, he said he already knew as he'd been getting updates via the dressing room/12th man!
He actually said on talksport, when asked who Barnsleys biggest rivals are " i would have to say, probably Sheffield Wednesday, not United, but Wednesday. But going back a few years, when we we were in the same division together, i would have said Rothereham"</p> He was referring back to 1980s with the latter part of that comment, which is a fair point. We were big rivals, challenging for promotion together etc.</p> Why dont people listen, and post the FACTS !!! Insted of giving him a hard time that isnt justified.</p>
Here you go Blade us v you stats, before the last two seasons you had one win.: l just noticed that since you have returned from your prem season with all your parachute payments and money from whoever your trying to sue you only beat little old Barnsley by the odd goal every time. Money well spent then? And as for the attendances you still have the Premeirship hangers on, would you like your average attendances for 1996-2005? Since you got relegated: Sheff Utd 4 wins Before you got relegated from the prem: Barnsley wins 6 Draws 7 Sheff Utd wins 1 2008/2009 Football League Championship Sheffield United 2-1 Barnsley 07-04-2009 Football League Championship Barnsley 1-2 Sheffield United 08-11-2008 2007/2008 Football League Championship Barnsley 0-1 Sheffield United 22-03-2008 Football League Championship Sheffield United 1-0 Barnsley 15-12-2007 2001/2002 Football League Championship Barnsley 1-1 Sheffield United 09-03-2002 Football League Championship Sheffield United 1-1 Barnsley 14-12-2001 2000/2001 Football League Championship Sheffield United 1-2 Barnsley 07-04-2001 Football League Championship Barnsley 0-0 Sheffield United 09-12-2000 1999/2000 Football League Championship Sheffield United 3-3 Barnsley 07-03-2000 Football League Championship Barnsley 2-0 Sheffield United 06-11-1999 1998/1999 Football League Championship Barnsley 2-1 Sheffield United 03-04-1999 Football League Championship Sheffield United 1-1 Barnsley 17-10-1998 1996/1997 Football League Championship Barnsley 2-0 Sheffield United 07-03-1997 Football League Championship Sheffield United 0-1 Barnsley 21-12-1996 1995/1996 Football League Championship Sheffield United 1-0 Barnsley 24-02-1996 Football League Championship Barnsley 2-2 Sheffield United 17-09-1995 1994/1995 Football League Championship Barnsley 2-1 Sheffield United 29-04-1995 Football League Championship Sheffield United 0-0 Barnsley 16-10-1994
RE: Here you go Blade us v you stats, before the last two seasons you had one win.: So in the last 10 years, timescale given by Fired not by me, the Blades have won 4, Barnsley 2, with 4 drawn. So much for his/her knowledge of football. You did have the jinx on us for a while but that's quite a long time ago . An "odd goal win" is still a win, 3 points in case you hadn't noticed. As for attendances facts are facts. The two Sheffield clubs are pulling in 50,000 between them this season Barnsley only 11,000. In your 1997 promotion season you only averaged 11,458, pretty poor I'd say. Your premiership average was 18,000 +. How many will you get in the division 1 next season ?
Laughable That you have to bring someone else into this post. Nothing to do with anything. Je n'ai pas de temps pour parler à de petits garçons pitoyables. Au revoir.
"Rivalry has to be mutual" I think it's fair to say you view us as serious rivals considering your contributions and time spent on here.
RE: Does James G know anything about Barnsley Football Club? Ask anyone under about 35 - they don't give a **** about Rotherham Playing someone in 1981 and 1982 does not make them your biggest rivals in 2009
RE: Rubbish blade so your mates have season tickets at Old Trafford, obviously not glory hunters then, and that gives you inside knowledge ! I lived in Manchester for 3 years and never heard anything from Mancs about Leeds it was all "scouse scum this scouse scum that Liverpool ...." blah blah blah. Why are you glory hunting at Old Trafford ? (N)
RE: Does James G know anything about Barnsley Football Club? My point was you were quoting something that was'nt true see other reply He actually said on talksport, when asked who Barnsleys biggest rivals are " i would have to say, probably Sheffield Wednesday, not United, but Wednesday. But going back a few years, when we we were in the same division together, i would have said Rothereham" What he actually said was true
RE: "Rivalry has to be mutual" yet I might visit other message boards more. Actually I've not spent a great deal of time on here recently. Where's Percy Thrower, Tina Tyke and the guy who used to "impress" everyone by telling us about the z list celebrities he'd seen at the BBC club ? Dull these days this board
RE: kevin keegan of cricket Does that apply to keyboards too? He actually said on talksport, when asked who Barnsleys biggest rivals are " i would have to say, probably Sheffield Wednesday, not United, but Wednesday. But going back a few years, when we we were in the same division together, i would have said Rothereham"
