he's trying to do too much because simple has tried turning him into howard the season turned on it's head when he left. we have never replaced him, and he was the only fecker that shot
So basically he is admitting he has lost the dressing room if they are not doing what he is supposedly telling them and what you are saying is true! His biggest **** ups have been trying to convert jcr into the new Brian Howard and over complicating what is a simple game!. Davey you should have gone months ago and what i can say is a lot of people will not be too disappointed when it does eventually happen.
RE: I hope the players AND manager Hope so, I work in Donny and today was my first day back since 2nd December since my accident and the stick I got today was unbearable. :'(
He says about jcr's role is to bring opposition defenders to attack jcr to leave our forwards free to attack opposition defence. Well Simon THATS NOT WORKED.
Theres no wonder the players dont listen to him If he is shouting to get it on the ground while stood with his arms folded. Sorry but Davey was not screaming instructions to them yesterday, he looked like a cardboard cutout until we were 3 nil down when he then decided to clap our performance.
Disagree When JCR kept dropping back into his "sweeper" role, he kept shouting and waving him to get up the field.
In the case of JCR I just wonder if it was actually the other way round and that he agreed to sign a new contract if he could be played in central midfield. It just might explain why Davey hasn't switched him back to the wing, which everyone knows is his strongest position. I think I would be saying to JCR in that case it is a matter of 'needs must' now. Good that we got him on the new contract in any case and I do think that the original idea was to get goals from midfield. In my own opinion, JCR would have been just as likely to have got goals from the wing and would have been a better fit for the whole team around him in that position. First time I saw JCR play centre-midfield was at Norwich. It didn't work then and it obviously hasn't been good for the balance of the team since either. It is one of the great mysteries as to why he has not been switched back, unless it is part of the agreement made when he signed the new contract. Ok - the only other explanation is Davey's stubbornness, but there might be another side to this story. Just a thought!
Looked quite happy with JCR doing **** all as usual Till the fans roundly booed him off at half time then he buckled under pressure and changed his entire belief system. Loved the way that Andranik was made a scapegoat for the poor formation and hauled off.
I dont think it was that way round back in november/december Davey came on radio sheffield and said that JCR had played 80% of the season in the middle and had been excellent there. It was a crazy statement to make because he'd played on the wing for 90% of the season upto that point and his few bad games had come when davey had put him in the middle. The fact he sad this more than once says to me that it is davey who believes him to be a midfielder, not JCR
Pure speculation... ...but I wonder if that's where the problem was yesterday. I simply can't understand why Davey would drop Colace if he intended to play 3 in midfield, it just doesn't make sense - one of the three has to be a holding player and in our case that means Colace.
So what if Davey intended what most of us wanted to do - play 442 with 2 wingers - but JCR refused to play ball and came inside? It would explain the dropping of Colace and the substitution of JCR.
Pure speculation, but just as plausible as all the anti-Davey stuff.

Except that after 4 months of the same thing And after davey making statements saying JCR should be in the centre and not out wide I find it hard to believe that suddenly davey decided he was a winger yesterday
If thats true then it goes to show the fans are right! even the players don't listen to him and don't understand what he wants them to do!! The truth is the man's no man manager and can't get the best out of an improved squad....SIMPLE!
as Davey has stated..... he buys the players he picks the team he sets the formation he decides the tactics yes he's been unlucky with injuries and individual errors, but every team will have those (look at forrest yesterday) players - lots of foreigners/loan players technically good but they come with little fight or spirit team selection - at times first 11 have been forced on him, but when he's had options his selections have been baffling formation - players played out of position all season, jcr down the middle, boggy on the wing, anderson de silva wide right, odejaiye right wing, shall I go on? tactics - negative negative negative, lets play every game as a war of attrition and nick the odd victory here and there, send a team of attack minded players out to defend. Take it on the chin Simon, its your team, your tactics, YOUR FAULT!!!!
