    Disagree on this James G, the story has it Glav met Clarkey, held talks but didn't fancy Barnsley. He tried to bluff his way out of the talks by asking for silly money. Clarkey trumped him and said yeah, we'll pay you that which we did. Glav initailly therefore came for the dosh - but believe me, never wud I criticise King Ronnie - the word legend designed specifically for that man Glavin.

    glavin came to barnsley because he had been involved (allegedly) in some property, of which he had an interest, which went up in flames...

    still one of our all time legends tho!!!!!!!!
