Jay's got a hard on for Danny Wilson

Looking back at the football we played back then, so have I.

Jay's right, it was Danny as a player that he got stick for, he was cack but not as a manager.

    he did

but they were after 100 games werent they?

Davey will have been in charge for 100 games on saturday, not 100 league games (he's only been in charge for 89 of them so far) so I was basing Wilson's signings on his first 100 games as well rather than his first 100 league games in order that the comparison is like for like, if it were 100 league games then we would have to wait till next year to see if Davey signs anyone else. Wilson's first 100 games were completed against Luton in his second season I believe.

Wilson's 100th game was in his second season, Marcelle and the like were signed in the pre season that followed so they were after 100 competitive games (though before 100 league games but Davey's 100 game record is not based on league games either as he's only completed 89 of them)

And I think that officially Regis cost 100k but Taggart was sold for £1.5m, probably just some legal way to do a part exchange deal or something.

He was cack under Anderson but as Jay says, his first season as manager he was player of the year.

Pulling the strings like Geppetto in midfield.

    No

His 100th league game in charge was the 1-3 home defeat against Grimsby Town.

    RE: No.

You really want to talk about how we act towards other people on here?

You don't like it when I argue with you about stuff and then you have a go at my character. You always do it.

I think we've got our wires crossed

Are we comparing Davey and Wilson on their first 100 games which is the milestone that Davey wil achieve on Saturday? Or are we comparing them on their first 100 league games that Davey will not reach until February/March next year?

If it is the former then Wilson's 100 games were reached in his second season, if it is the latter then how can we compare Wilsons signings with something that hasnt happened yet as we have no idea how many more players Davey will sign in January, he may waste another few million on players like he already has for all we know.

Regis was part of the Rammel deal, nothing to do with Taggart

Fair enough if you're counting cup games too, but de Zeeuw would have been signed well before that.

    oops, I meant Rammell. Honest...

And I've decided not to trust Soccerbase anymore as i've just realised (after you pointed that out) that in their transfer section they don't list De Zeeuw as having signed at all for some reason though you're quite right, he signed in novermber 95 so should be included.

Thanks for the first part of your comment

I appreciate that. But I think I did over-react a bit. And it's sorted now anyway.
