The cup run was a pleasant distraction.

We were poxy against Liverpool and Chelsea didn't turn up. Unfortunately Cardiff did and Davey wasoffered anothera lesson in tactics.

And no, with the exception of Odejayi, these players shouldn't be struggling at the bottom of the Championship.

    Why gave him that?

    and what the **** for?

I've been told that he's on a rolling contract anyway. If we have given him 4 years without get out clauses we are mental.

Three months is longer than three games,

but you'd sack the manager based on that ?

Does that not just prove he was the "cheap" option? nt

But a distraction none the less?

So we might have get more points without it?

And you wouldn't have taken 51 points and staying up without the cup run?

Not trying to be argumentative mate, just a genuine question because I think people's expectations vary a lot

I see your point. We may well have had more points without the cup run...

...butI think that demonstrates his shortcomings in the man-management dept.

If that's what he'd get in severance pay, then

whoever drew up his contract wants putting down.

Not that I'm advocating sacking him after 3 games mind.

Perhpas and I guess thats the one area none of us really know about. The off the stuff pitch is a worry if the rumours are true, although personally I think theres an element of Davey being a disciplinarian but also players spitting the dummy when they aren't playing or get criticised. His man management seems to wrok for some and not others as he's got the best out of Howard, Foster, JCR. Maybe he's inflexible, but at same time he is the boss.
