    Better off under who?

because if you mean the tories I would suggest you have a very tenuous grip on reality or the memory of a goldfish.

    I guarantee you one thing...

If the Tories get in the rich will get richer. Somehow out of all this economic turmoil a handful of blue blooded double-barrelled surnamed types will make an awful lot of money putting a large number of working men and women out of jobs. Somehow their tax burden will fall, and the middle income families will have to pick up the difference (that and a cut in public services). There will be peerages in the offing for the top few and we'll all be left shaking our heads lamenting the missed opportunity the Blair and Brown governments let pass them by. The Tories will call it 'rationalisation'.

    Something to look forward to.

RE: Trouble with this Country is that today parents are the

And they only care about the top percentage because they're scratching each other's backs i.e. something in it for themselves and that where the funding comes from. Otherwise they really would be every man for himself. If you haven't got something they want or need - too bad for you.

You poor deluded fool. Are you not old enough to remember the Tory administration that decimated this area between 1979 and 1997? The likes of you are going to make it unbearable for the rest of us.

    The Government, yes..

based on what business wants. Don't forget that this Labour Government is far from Socilaist. It is almost in the pocket of business as much as the Tories. That is a given for the economic system that both parties perpetuate.
