Dawson played ok yesterday. Actually tried to get forwards and create something. Would be a decent centre mid for us if we had a few more creative players in the lineup ahead of him.
Dawson, Hassell and Perkins all playing was always going to stop us creating much - as soon as I saw that I feared the worst. O'brien also had me fearing but he played well - think he could be good again with a few decent players around him

You sure because your observations do not correlate in anyway what so ever to his performance yesterday

It is a well known phenomenon amongst football fans, especially those of the lower leagues, to admire endeavor above effectiveness. I would never doubt Dawson's commitment nor is application. The problem is that he lacks the brains and the skills to deliver performances which will win contribute in a positive fashion to us winning games at this level. I have seen him score 1 great goal, but then I also saw Nathan Doyle score a better goal, and also put in performances which were way better then anything from Dawson, and he is currently plying his trade in league 2.

The Doyle point is a good one. A verity limited player but head and shoulders better than Dawson.
