Time for folk to get off TK's back. It's a fresh start for em all. At least he wants to be here. And with no O'Grady to fire at, perhaps we'll see a quality L1 version of Kennedy? I'm backing him anyway.
Matchday prices will be 'very similar' next season. Family Area tickets will be reduced. Upper tiers of West and East stands to be increased slightly. Good job I sit in the West Lower or Ponty End. Robbing gets.
I'd like to thank Dawson for his efforts while wearing the red shirt, the type of man you'd want in the trenches with you.Good luck for the future it wouldn't surprise me if he's still in the Championship.Just my opinion.
Int the point here, that Dawson as turned us down.... didn't Bobby say that we would struggle to attract new players on what we are paying.. Get ready for journeymen and kids as Bob says , and what looks like another struggle with our bottom 8 budget. Cant wait
Or maybe we wanted to keep Dawson as a fringe player and offered him peanuts? Which would still have been too much. Trust me, if we can't find better than him we may as well pack up.
We'll see..but the writing on the wall for me. Bobbys already said what we're paying. No need to second guess or read between the lines. Danny wanted Lawrence, board said no. Now a player that most don't even want, has turned us down. If you trust a well respected player who says where skint, and we all know we are, we were skint in the Champ, and now where 4 mill down to start with, so lets not pretend. Tell you what, people may want Dawson back when they see his replacement...how many games will Digby and RNL last?... bet that they cant get COG out the door fast enough
Not what Mansford said. They'll be plenty of Championship players who are out of contract that will see us as a very good option.
I love Bobby Hassell, but he knows **** all about the clubs budget for next season. And it shouldn't cost us owt to build a better squad than we had last season, it was ******* garbage. We've saved a lot by releasing the dross. I'm a firm believer in Danny and reckon we'll be competitive next season. If you think otherwise, fair enough.
We're not skint 'skint'. But yes, we'll have lost a big chunk of income. However, I'm very sure that Danny will build us a decent squad and that we've some talented youngsters ready to play a part, to step up. If we have to lose COG, Jennings, Steele and Cranie to help finance the rebuild, so be it. But seeing cheating clubs like QPR, Burnley and Leicester promoted tells me football is ****** anyway and I'm not sure I want us in that division towing our ******** off. I am more excited about a third tier season than I ought to be. Football is ******.
Gutted. I think some may realise just how effective a player like Daws could be in league one when he is playing against us. All we need now is for Mellis to sign his and we'll have a hardworking midfield that will scare the opposition.
The biggest frustration for me is that we didn't lose this extra income, we effectively gave it away by meekly surrendering our place in possibly the worst championship for years. I have to agree with this YT, football is dead as a competitive sport and as angry as I am about last season I am looking forwards to being able to compete next season equally as much. I just hope our stay isn't an extended one.
