    I'll second that

Although I doubt he'll make the team. Austin is playing better now than he's ever done.

I agree about Austin - he has been brilliant this season. That shows you how good Gordon must be doesnt it? Isnt he a natural left footer too?

    Austin.........

made a crucial tackle and then immediately launched Hayes for his 2nd goal-class-but I still don't think he's naturally left sided

The average age of our squad is about 23 so he would add experience and like i said if he is half the player he used to be he will be a great aquasition to the squad.

Because Austin is a better player. Simple.

I think Williams is a better midfielder than defender-I don't think he's a great tackler

Austin is much more solid at full back, doesnt get caught out as much as williams. And williams isnt a player to beat men and get forward as much as devaney. So hes not getting a look in at the minute.

He's just not performing well enough at the moment. We all know he has talent but at the moment he's not really seizing his chance when he gets to play.

good back up to have though. Like Ritchie said - if a player gets injured (or out of form etc) there is always someone capable of taking their place. We have good competition and depth (depth in quality) in the squad (which we have lacked in the past)e.g. Burns, Howard, Mcphail and Kell are all competing with each other for a place in the team. It keeps standards high and keeps everyone on their toes.

Just wondered why you'd want Gordon and the wages that come with it
